About the Artist In Her Own Words
Welcome to my creative world! I have loved handicrafts since my childhood. My mother was my example and my teacher. She sewed and knitted perfectly and, of course, taught me everything. I like to do original things and work with unusual materials. Wool and felt are such materials for me. I searched the internet for information about felting and taught myself the art of wet felting. I developed my own quirky style. Amazing material! The felt I use is completely organic…and unpredictable. Things made from felt give us pleasure, warmth and comfort. Felt is the oldest form of fabric and is becoming popular as folks re-discover its versatility and durability.
To get a real masterpiece in every creation, I am sure that I have a plan of action. My engineering education helps me too. Everything that I create, I think over, make a pattern and measure the amount of material. When making the accessories in my shop, I use only high quality and ecological materials such as organic wool, natural fabric, natural fiber, water and natural Turkish olive soap.
