Cotton Ridge Create! is a content-rich site that is a free Arts & Crafts resource published by Cotton Ridge Designs, LLC.  My purpose is to inspire, promote and support artists, handcrafters and collectors! We welcome input from a wide variety of creative artists, collectors and shop owners! These offers are free of charge. Cotton Ridge Designs, LLC will not handle any sales or collect any commissions or fees. All inquiries regarding sales will be directed to the artist/handcrafter or gallery/shop, as applicable.

Be Inspiring…Share & Showcase Your Work

Share your art or handcraft and experience. Inspire fellow artists and crafters while promoting your work (at no cost)! Contribute a project or tutorial that explains a particular skill or technique. Recommend ways to teach others, including children, about your field of expertise.  If you would like your work featured in one of our Galleries or would like to contribute to this site in another way, please see below!

Be Supportive…Encourage & Collect

Join the discussion! Comment on articles that you appreciate and write encouraging words about work you admire. Write an article about your collection or a visit to a shop or gallery and identify the pieces and artists that you especially appreciate.  Share your insights on how artists and handcrafters can submit their work to gallery and shop owners for representation.  Please see below if you would like to contribute!


Feature Your Portfolio in a Gallery

If you would like your art or handcraft to be featured in one of the Galleries please follow the steps below:

1. Contact me with the url of your web site, Etsy shop, or blog site. Or, you may email a digital image of your art or handcraft. I will respond as soon as possible. If your art or handcraft doesn’t fit in one of our Galleries, we will create one.

2. Upon approval, please email at least 3 images (you may send as many as you like, jpg format preferred). You may point me to your web site for your images instead of emailing them.

3. Please provide an outline (or complete article) of the information you would like included. You may point me to your web site content instead. Some ideas of information to include (include as much or as little as you like):

  • Brief Biography
  • Artist Statement
  • How you became involved in your art or handcraft
  • Influences
  • Classes/Workshops you have taught
  • Upcoming events (shows, workshops, presentations)
  • Ways you have inspired children to become involved your field

4. I will let you know when your portfolio has been posted to the gallery. Please contact me with any corrections or suggested revisions.


 Feature Your Project or Tutorial

If you would like your creative arts related project or tutorial included on this site, please follow the steps below.  This is a great way to promote your web site or blog!

1. Contact me with a digital image of the completed project (or point me to your web site) and I will respond as soon as possible.

2. Please provide complete instructions, at least one image of the completed project and any other images you have taken of the steps to make the project.

3. Please include your contact information including web site, Etsy shop, or blog site url if applicable.

4. I will let you know when your project has been posted.  Please contact me with any corrections or suggested revisions.


Feature Your Gallery, Shop, or Museum in an Article

If you would like your gallery, shop or museum featured in an article, please follow the steps below:

1. Contact me with a brief description (or point me to your web site) and I will respond as soon as possible.

2. Upon approval, please email at least 3 images (you may send as many as you like, jpg format preferred).  You may point me to your web site for your images instead of emailing them.

Write a Product or Book Review for an Article

1. Contact me with a brief description of an art/craft-related product or book that you’d like to review, and I will respond as soon as possible.

2. Upon approval, please email your article to cottonridge@gmail.com. You will be credited as the author and I will include any contact information that you include with your content.

3. I will let you know when your article has been posted.  Please contact me with any corrections or suggested revisions.
