Thank you for your interest in Cotton Ridge Designs, LLC!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet! When I was young, my dream job was to be the owner of a shop that sold all sorts of products related to my interests and hobbies. Years later in 1999 I discovered the world wide web and started Cotton Ridge Designs, an internet company selling dollhouse miniatures. Over time it grew into a Limited Liability Company (LLC) with five divisions.
Growing up as an Air Force kid I lived mostly in Southern California and northern Virginia. I now live in a rather quiet suburban neighborhood just outside of the city of Huntsville, Alabama with my husband and daughter. After earning a B.B.A. in Accounting from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, I worked professionally as an auditor, controller and an analyst for 10 years in the Washington, DC area and in Huntsville, Alabama.
My desire is to allow Christ to live His life through me to bless others and bring glory to God in all aspects of my life, including through my company. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” (Colossians 3:23)
Thank you for your visit! Please feel free to contact me with any comments or questions.

Cotton Ridge Create! is a fine arts and handcrafts gallery, blog and tutorial archive. My desire for Cotton Ridge Create! is for it to be a venue to share and exchange ideas and techniques with other artists and crafters. Please visit the Guest Post page if you would like to contribute!
Cotton Ridge Miniatures offers well-made manufactured miniatures and handcrafted artist miniatures for customers who enjoy realism in their miniature scenes and doll houses. Many different kits are also offered for the do-it-yourselfer.
After making and collecting doll house scale miniatures for many years, I had the opportunity in 1999 to start my own home-based company. There is something about holding a perfect (or almost perfect) scale reproduction in the palm of my hand…and if it something I made myself, even better! I have also taught several classes in Chattanooga, Monteagle and Birmingham. Many of these classes are offered on the Cotton Ridge Create! site as free projects for you to try at home.
“Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand”. Isaiah 64:8
Cotton Ridge Pottery offers kiln-fired stoneware clay jewelry, wheel-thrown pottery and hand-built pieces for customers who enjoy unique, handcrafted pieces. After appreciating wheel-thrown pottery for many years, I had the opportunity to take lessons in clay myself. The feel of the clay immediately captured my imagination, and I was hooked!
I enjoy continuing this traditional art form through Cotton Ridge Pottery, while adding my own ideas and imagination.
Cotton Ridge Homeschool is my collection of creative ideas for home based learning.
Although we have a couple of years before we start, I decided a blog would be the best place to organize my thoughts, keep a list of links to other blogs and curriculum sites, and keep track of creative ideas from friends and the internet.
I welcome you to join me on my journey; perhaps we can help each other along the way!
The blog at Cotton Ridge Books will feature great authors and interesting books in many genres. I’ve loved to read since I was a small child, and I’m excited to share my favorite books and authors. Please contact me if you would like to Guest Post or share your favorites!
