I love finding web sites with lots of great arts and crafts ideas and free projects! There’s something about browsing through pages of craft ideas that motivates me to start yet another project (or better yet…finish one I’ve already begun!) The Michael’s web site has new ideas and tutorials for the fine artist, kid’s art teachers, papercrafters, cake decorators, fiber artists and more.
Visit the Community section for the Customer Creations gallery – lots of images have been posted by artists and crafters. There is also an extensive online Videos library, covering subjects from “Art Supplies” to “Yarn & Needle Crafts.” You can also view their Weekly Ad and print coupons.
I have not tried this yet, but the MiDesign@Michaels digital scrapbooking looks like fun, and I may try their online custom invites next time I have a party. Michael’s also offers The Knack – projects and activities for kids. This section of their web site looks very fun and kid-friendly!
Don’t miss this great tool: Glue It To It. Use two drop-down lists to choose the items you are gluing together, and the tool suggests the most appropriate adhesive to use for your project!
